We’re Foreside Funk—a 10-piece, high-energy funk band with bold horns, deep grooves, and a sound that hits you in the soul.
Founded in 2023 by saxophonist Stefan Vittori, Foreside Funk was built on one simple idea: bring together musicians across generations to create a live funk experience that hits hard, grooves deep, and leaves crowds wanting more. What started as a few jam sessions turned into a serious force—and now we’re selling out venues across New England and earning a reputation for delivering shows packed with energy, musicianship, and heart.
Our lineup is a multigenerational mix of seasoned pros and rising talent, locked in and fully committed to the groove. We take our cues from the greats—Herbie Hancock, Fred Wesley, Bernard Purdie, Walter “Wolfman” Washington—while channeling the fire and finesse of modern innovators like Lettuce, Trombone Shorty, Soulive, and Huntertones. Our sound is rooted in classic funk, but we layer in smooth jazz textures, contemporary rhythms, and bold, urban edges to keep it fresh.
We don’t just play music—we put on a show. Every performance is a journey, built on connection, raw energy, and a vibe that pulls the audience in from the first hit to the last.
